Align your self-image with what you see in the mirror

Self-image is a funny thing.
In your 20’s what you feel is likely what you see in the mirror. Unless of course, you struggle with things like acne, still have braces, or maybe are just experimenting with various hair styles. But for the most part, you recognize what you see in the mirror. For the most part, you aren’t looking to improve your self-image. In my own experience, I found that as I entered my 30’s small signs of aging began to creep in and individually, none of them really bothered me. But cumulatively, there was something I couldn’t put my finger on that didn’t look like how I remembered looking.
After getting certified in aesthetics and with now years of experience under my belt, it’s clear to see why these changes happened. Changes in skin quality, facial volume, brow position, and creasing in makeup can all be chalked up to aging. Less collagen, elastin, facial fat, and hydration are some of the factors I was dealing with. But the worst part of all was that I felt a lot less like myself. On the inside, I felt youthful, vibrant, and the same 20-something I was just yesterday. That misalignment can do a number on your confidence. Thankfully we have options to help fix that! Treatments such as Botox, filler, Skinvive, a chemical peel, or even a spray tan can remind you of what a bad bitch you really are!
